Emily & Jared tied the knot at the beautiful Perkins Chapel on the SMU campus the last weekend in January. This chapel was such a stunning backdrop for their emotional and special ceremony. After their vows, we headed over to the very chic and hip 333 First Ave for their fun afternoon reception. It was so special to capture the love these two have towards each other! It was such a special day to witness, and I wish them all the happiness in the world!
A note from the bride: “I could not have asked for a better wedding day! Jared and I had a morning wedding, which was so great, because if I had to wait all day, I would have gone crazy! I would have been a complete mess if it wasn’t my bridesmaids keeping me laughing all morning as we waited to walk down the aisle. As soon as they opened the church doors, and I saw him standing there, with all the people we loved there to support us, it was so overwhelming. It is just this outpouring of love everywhere, it is so amazing. Afterwards, we had such a great time at the reception. Jared plays the drums, and I come from a very musical family, so we decided to have a little performance. Watching Jared and my dad, grandmother and other family members rock it out was so much fun! But after everything was all said and done, the best part of the day was knowing that this was just the beginning, and that I am so lucky to be able to marry the best guy I have ever known.”
